Is teflon coating good for bikes.
The guys in the service stations of Bajaj and Hero honda and others suggest for teflon coating. Is is really good for bikes.
I heard from some that they experienced more scratches to the bikes from dust after applying them.
Well the real teflon coating is not that we get here. The coating adds up to the piant and shine and nothing. although the service man tells to keep the bike away from dusts for around a week but you know guys in India thats impossible

Coating processes involve the application of a thin film of functional material to a substrate, so i think its useful to get ur bike protect from scratches, and yup showroom guyz say this to me on every service that ur bike will look new and it will cost u around 450 bucks.
Is that not original?

teflon(auto wash) may be good when ur tryn to apply initially...but if the climate is hot it starts fading up and even brings dusky effect to the color...but donn use...after 3months try it with glass coating...costs same but gives terrific look and looks as a showroom vehicle....

Teflon coating done at showrooms are bogus. the solution used has just 27.832% of original teflon in it. rest all is either wax or other chemicals. get an original teflon bottle from nearby custom bazaar and visit any shop that has the coating machine. they may charge somewhere nearby 150 for application of the teflon brought by u. or even cheaper is the silicon glaze. or silicon polish. if u believe in brands then amway has a good one for u. try it. ya and there is no way to avoid scratches except for ur personal care. so dont believe in what showroom officials say. take good personal care of ur bike. take care. happy biking.

The actual teflon coating is a thin transparent film which avoids the basic scratches & fading of paints.

In teflon I hate one thing is that you have to keep the bike away from all the tings for atleast 4 hours and that really impossible buddy.
I use Waxpol instead
