Legality of these Kits:

Pollution standard needed in bikes in India currently is "BS II".

R15 has Fuel Injection, so it easily matches even BS III standards. So, EVEN after the kit, pollution will not be a factor, NOISE may surely be...

Maximum Noise at any revs has to be kept below 99 decibels.

Regarding FZ16, it's a carburetter bike, not an Fi. So, it will struggle to comply with BOTH Noise & Pollution Norms after the kit's installation. Unfortunately.

Guys, according to Ridetech Challenge Release, The "KIT" would be launched on 26th June.

Power might be around 26/27bhp and few people are saying the entire kit might cost around 60k!
More parts are expected from Yamaha too, than those 3 displayed on the Daytona Video above.

The better part is that the individual parts are choosable, we don't have to buy entire kit at once.

^ Guys, every bit of my above leaked information is Correct!! Read below:-->

----
India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has launched a range of Racing kit parts exclusively for its bikes. We had reported earlier that these kits were being created and tested by Japanese performance accessories maker - DAYTONA. Engineered exclusively for racing purpose in closed circuit, the kit parts include race ECU, High lift cams, full exhaust system, special alloy sprockets, adjustable back steps and braking parts like big diameter petal disc brakes, master cylinder, and stainless steel hose.

Now Yamaha owners don't have to depend on unbranded modifying kits and can spruce up there mean machines using original company specified racing kits.

Talking about the all new racing kit parts, Mr. Sanjay Tripathi, Division Head Product Planning & Brand Management, India Yamaha Motor said, “Racing kit parts are developed using valuable experience gained from Moto GP & World Superbike racing and Yamaha wants to provide its customers in India with the same thrill and feeling of racing instinct. Also with the launch of these kit parts we want to encourage safe racing culture in India. In order to meet Yamaha’s rigorous quality standards, the kit parts are developed by Yamaha Engineering Corporation and Daytona in Japan. Racing Power up kits along with racing championship , touring, apparel and accessories are an integral parts of our brand image in India.”

The Racing kit parts will be available from September’09 onwards and are exclusively for racing purpose in a closed circuit only.

This makes the cost of R15 go up by around 80000.00 (approx. heard) with ECU itself costing around 22000.00 INR
