hi there guys. Its deepak my bike got a certain type of problem.

once i went to see off a friend to the airport in bangalore. The airport is around 45 kilometers from my place. I rode my bike very hard. At the the time of coming back i heard certain sound coming from my bike from the timing chain side side. I took to a mechanic and he said that my engine bore has to be replaced. But i didnt have confidence in him and didn't trust him and didnt want him to mess with my bike engine so i took the bike and went home by just replacing the mobile.

My bike pickup and even top speed was everything OK so i felt that he might be saying that to earn some cash.

later i drove my bike for almost a month without a problem but only the sound from the previous area.

Than again i had to go to the airport for dropping a friend and at the time of coming back i heard a sound of blast which came from the down of the engine but which i mistook for the sound of a pebble breaking up from the pressure of my tire. but again after some distance I heard the same blast. Now i got a little worried so i drove my bike very slow but the blast came at regular intervals after a certain distance. After reaching home i kept my bike and slept.

Later when i woke up i started my bike to go somewhere just after a few meters i heard the same blast but lowder. So i kept the bike cause i got scared and have not not used it for almost two weeks.

I dont trust any mechanics in bangalore as the problem started after i had serviced ny bike with an outside garage other than the bajaj service centre and changed my chain sprocket and mobile for which i paid around rs. 1800 in all.

So guys can you help me out with a good opinion about what is wrong with my bike and what will be the cost of repairing it and any trustworthy mechanic in bangalore other than the bajaj service centre as i have asked them and they said that it will cost around 12000 while outside garages say they can do it for around 3000. I dont have a trust on both and dont want my bike to get spoiled any more

I don't think the sound is from timing chain.. If the sound is from the bore .. you might need to need to check the bore(Crank Shaft+Piston+Bore), which would cost you around 4500 over all.

i think i know what the problem is ..since my bike suffered from the same problem .. since the problem i have literally spent days n nights in the garage with my bike..in the process i have learned a lot about it ..

if you tell me how many kms you have ridden ...i can tell you whats the problem n how its caused n why its caused and how to repair it..

its a long story so tell me first how many kms did your machine run for till date ..so that i can believe its the same prob ..else no point in straining my fingers n the keyboard.. Tongue

read your problemjust do it in the written order:

1.Remove the plug and keep Engine switched off.

2.Rotate the engine by cranking the kick pedal by hand very slowly.

3.Observe the sound in the engine overall.

4.I feel there should not be any sound,if yes its a faulty spark pulg misfiring.

5. Replace the correct grade plug.

6. If the sound continues, plz observe the location and time gap in reoccurance and
    revert back to me.
