As like all other trip, when I can manage one or two days of leaves from office then first thing I do; a call to SRC.
This time it was Independence Day 2013, as usual I asked SRC what would be the best places at this time?
SRC : Why not you join with me , I am coming to Mumbai via pune and will return through amboli ghat , that would be a ride for a cause .
Me: How can it be possible you are coming from mangalore and after Mumbai you will go towards konkan so it won’t be fruitful for me.
SRC: Then you can go to Shimoga and Agumbe side.
And when SRC said agumbe then I was so excited; can’t express here. “Land of King Kobra , Malgudi days“– I am coming.
As per plan 14th Aug evening I was coming from office along with my roommate around 6:30pm and was raining then. Suddenly my bike skidded in traffic due to some mud particles under my front wheel. Result handle got damaged. Immediately replaced the bent one from nearby Yamaha SVC.15th Aug (DAY 1 ) :
Bike ready , camera ready ,jacket's on , we ( me & my friend Avijit ) started our journey at 3:30 am through a massive rain towards Karnataka.
First thing is need to be done, to meet with SRC, as per the last communication with him; he was about to reach Pune.
So after 70 km of driving (Pathetic I would say with my newly installed LED fog lamp on) throughout the dense rain to meet with SRC team.
They spend the night on that red marked place, salute
05:30 am : Having 15 minutes of chatting and photo session, again we started towards Karnataka. SRC & team towards to their way to attend the G2G in Mumbai.
Breakfast is very much essential just after the cold and rain fight ride up to Satara. Weather was cloudy.
After bada pav ,mishel pav and tea again set sail through the smooth NH-4.
As of now 350 km covered, now it's time for a lunch. We had our lunch just after Belgaum before entering the Dandeli forest. Driving through the Karnataka rain forest . . . . . . Better to enjoy in pic
Now it’s time to cruise inside lonely dense rain forest.
Look at me
. Am I Bluebyson or yellow ?
Within 150 km stretch of forest, only found this hut.
They use to pray here , few symbols left. But why local people come here and they pray for what
For the first day finished the journey at yellapur (a very small town after the rain forest). Check in to the hotel room but could not roam around the small market as it was 6:00 pm and raining all the time. So end the day with an awesome dinner of chapatti and chicken kasa.16th Aug (DAY 2 ) : Jog falls , Agumbe , Malgudi Days lost in the rain coming
